Develop solid teaching foundations in the Himalayas with a structured 200 hour syllabus. Morning practice builds intelligent strength and mobility with breath led pacing and safe alignment. Daily pranayama and meditation cultivate focus and steadiness. Anatomy and injury awareness keep cues responsible, while philosophy connects tradition to modern life. Sequencing labs, cue crafting, and voice work grow clarity and confidence. You will teach regularly in mentored practicums and leave with class templates and a sustainable personal routine.

During the 1st week Hatha yoga, traditional yoga and Iyengar yoga asana class is conducted to ensure students learn and fully understand basic asana/yoga poses. sun salutations, standing poses and the sequencing of a hatha yoga class is explained.

During the art of teaching students practice creating the space to teach, introducing a yoga class and teaching a class sun salution with 12 steps. Learning the fundamentals of teaching a selection of standing, sitting, twisting, backbending, inversions and restorative asana, their instructions and adjustments.

The focus on applying the four tools of teaching is central to the course, they are:
1. how demonstrate asana
2. how to instruct
3. How to offer adjustments to asana.

Students practice and teach each other in pairs, groups and whole class, throughout the course and each student is guided to find their own style.
Feedback is offered in different formats.

Anatomy:
We cover a thorough base of the musculoskeletal system, digestive system, breathing system and nervous system.

Philosophy:
Introduction to the history of yoga. The difference between hatha yoga, ashtanga, bhakti yoga, karma yoga.
The ashtanga yoga path starting with yama and niyama is covered. Patanjalis yoga sutra is studied. Nadis, chakras and the subtle body are explored.

Week 2

Students begin ashtanga yoga primary series, beginner vinyasa flow sequences. restorative and yin yoga classes are offered so students can rejuvenate their body from dynamic yoga practice.
On 2nd Saturday morning shat kriya or yogic cleansing practice; jala neti, sutra neti, kapal bhati, bhastrika, and nauli which help to turn our mind calm and take out all toxins from stomach.

Week 3

Includes the second half of the ashtanga primary series, plus some advanced poses. More in-depth hands-on adjustment technique and use of props.

Art of teaching now focuses on preparing to teach, ethics, business and creating sequences. Students begin their preparation for their exams.

Our syllabus covers the following topics:

Final Week

Students present their final teaching exam by teaching a class demonstrating all the 4 qualities they have now learnt . They complete a written exam. It is mandatory that all students must attend the entire course and all exams, receive feed back etc.

We end with a certificate ceremony and farewell.
