During this training, you will study the form and function of asana (yoga poses), the foundations of pranayama (breathwork), the basics of meditation, yoga theory and practice, yoga history and philosophy, basic Sanskrit, yoga teacher ethics and boundaries, and the skills required to teach yoga to others. For this training, one year of consistent yoga practice is recommended.
There is no need to know advanced poses such as headstand, handstand, or other arm balances and inversions. You will usually have a day off on Sundays and you can expect approximately eight to ten hours of training per day. All of our graduates will receive first consideration for available teaching positions at the center.

From Koh Samui: Fly to Koh Samui via Bangkok Air. Take a minibus to Maenam Beach pier and a ferry to Thong Sala on Koh Phangan (minimum 1 hour travel time). Joint minibus and boat tickets are available at Samui Airport.
From Surat Thani: Fly from Bangkok to Surat Thani via budget airlines (Air Asia or Nok Air). Bus and boat transfers to Koh Phangan take about 5 hours.

Ferries run daily to Thong Sala pier from Koh Samui (Lomprayah, Raja, Seatran), Don Sak / Surat Thani (Lomprayah, Raja, Seatran), and Koh Tao (Songserm, Lomprayah, Seatran). Haad Rin Queen Ferry travels directly from Big Buddha pier in Samui to Haad Rin.

Overnight buses depart Khaosan Road in Bangkok around 6:00 PM, arriving at Surat Thani the next morning to connect with a ferry to Koh Phangan.
By Train
Take an overnight sleeper train from Bangkok to Surat Thani. From Surat Thani station, purchase a bus and boat joint ticket to Koh Phangan.

Taxis wait at Thong Sala pier on Koh Phangan. Request a ride to "Ananda" on Hin Kong Beach.
Visa Information
Most nationalities receive a 30-day visa exemption upon arrival by air. For longer stays, apply for a Tourist Visa at a Thai embassy prior to travel.
Activities available around the center include bicycling, kayaking, snorkeling, boat trips, fishing, Thai boxing, and motorbiking.
