Ayurveda - “Ayur” means life and “Veda” for knowledge in Sanskrit - is the science of life. Ayurveda is one of the oldest medical systems in the world. During your consultancy, your “Dosha” will be determined by our Ayurvedic Doctor from Vata, Pitta and Kapha. You will be advised on the best nutrition, therapies, treatments and lifestyle changes according to your dosha, in order to follow a personalised wellbeing path during your stay with us and beyond.

Rejuvenate yourself with Ayurvedic Massages at a time of your choosing, these will be holistic full body massages with oils used, based on your dosha and physical need.

Recentre with our Shirodhara treatment - shiro meaning head and dhara meaning flow. An Ayurveda therapy that involves continuously pouring warm, herbal oil over the forehead; also known as the Ajna Chakra. An area of highly concentrated nerves & containing the circulation of our vital life force, or prana. The flow of oil onto the forehead creates a vibration whilst the oil saturates the forehead and scalp, penetrating deep into the nervous system. The gentle pressure and soothing warmth of the oil will allow the body, mind and nervous system to experience a deep state of rest, only comparable with deep meditation. Relax during your Indian Head Massage treatment. Massage techniques based solely on therapeutic touch over the scalp, head, face and shoulders to induce deep relaxation. Aiming to restore balance by working with the three higher chakras. Vishuddha, our throat chakra, Ajna, also known as our third eye and Sahasrara, our crown chakra. Focusing on areas of the body that hold the most stress, your tension will melt away leaving a sense of total calm. Start your day off with a dynamic yoga class at 8:00 am in one of our spacious and airy rooftop yoga shalas. Followed by fresh fruit juices and a healthy wellness buffet breakfast in our beachfront restaurant. Nalanda Retreat is located next to the shores of the Arabian Sea, which is a safe place to swim and relax in peace, with private beach access and loungers via our restaurant. You can use your free time to soak up the sun, go on leisurely walks, enjoy incredible sunsets on our beach and explore the beautiful state of Goa & its local attractions. Afternoon yoga at 4:00pm is a slower, more gentle class easing you into the evening. Buffet evening meals with fresh salads and authentically prepared Indian delicacies are served from 7 pm. Round off your day with one of our evening activities at 8:00pm including kirtan, meditation, classical Indian music.

The place is visited by yoga lovers and travelers across the world for its natural beauty, perfect summer climate, and spiritual history. Our Goa-based yoga studio is located in picturesque Arambol, a sleepy village in North Goa with gorgeous beaches and warm culture.

• A deposit of 35% of your total holiday cost should be paid at the time of booking. The balance must be paid in full, two months before your arrival date to Nalanda Retreat. Full payment is required should your booking be made within two months of arrival. We would like to remind you that all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• While it is unlikely that we shall have to make changes to holiday bookings or other matters, we reserve the right to do so at any time. We shall inform you as early as we are able to in the event that this is necessary.
• We reserve the right to resell any rooms if full payment has not been received after the agreed date and any paid deposit will remain non-refundable
